& The Team
We’re Christa and Andrew, the husband-and-wife team behind Christa Schiessl Photo Co (Christa Schiessl Photography), and we’ve spent over a decade perfecting one thing: helping couples feel completely themselves on their biggest day. What started as my solo photography journey in 2012 became something even better when I mentored Andrew in the art of capturing love stories. While he quickly mastered photography, he found his true calling behind the video camera—and we discovered that our combined storytelling creates something magical.
Here’s what we know after documenting hundreds of weddings across Nebraska and beyond: the magic happens when you stop worrying about looking perfect and start focusing on feeling perfect. As a Lincoln and Omaha wedding photography and videography team, my film photography background taught us both to slow down, wait for genuine emotion, and capture the fleeting moments that make your heart skip. Andrew’s videography brings those moments to life, letting you not just see but hear and feel your day all over again.
When we're not creating heirloom wedding photography and films, you'll find me lost in a good romantasy novel (currently obsessed with Rebecca Yarros' Fourth Wing series and anything by Sarah J. Maas), cheering loudly at swim meets as the proudest swim mom, or hunting for vintage cameras that tell their own stories. Andrew's usually scouting the perfect dark-sky camping spot for stargazing or joining us on our annual Colorado paddleboarding adventures—his eye for finding beauty in natural settings translates perfectly to capturing your wedding day.
Our approach is simple: be your biggest cheerleaders, anticipate the moments that matter most, and give you wedding photos and films that feel as joyful and authentic as your actual marriage. Because after all the flowers fade and the cake is gone, your photographs and videos are what remain—and they should make you fall in love with your day all over again.

my current reads and what i've read this year!
I'm currently making my way through the third book of The Plated Prisoner Series by Raven Kennedy. This year I've re-read some favorites including the Crescent City Series and Fourth Wing Series, along with the first two books of The Plated Prisoner. I've also devoured the Powerless Series by Lauren Roberts and read Good Inside by Dr. Becky Kennedy.
After a several-year reading hiatus, the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas completely reignited my love for books, and I haven't looked back since!

FACTS
• I grew up swimming competitively (and even performed as a synchronized swimming soloist in high school!) and now proudly wear the title of swim mom—you’ll find me poolside most weekends. My friends still joke that I’m basically a mermaid.
• I spun flags with the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and performed at the Dallas Cowboy Stadium, Arrowhead Stadium, Qualcomm Stadium, and the Capital One Bowl.
• Hopelessly addicted to romantasy books—Team Rhysand forever.
• Studied film photography in college and still geek out over vintage cameras and film negatives.
• Champagne towers are my love language.
• My parents nicknamed me “Sweet Pea,” and I still melt every time I hear it.
• I never met a sunset I didn’t want to photograph.
• Low-key collector of stacks of beautiful books.
• My playlists are packed with 2000’s throwbacks and current pop hits—apparently the throwbacks I love are called Dad Music now.
• My yellow lab, Daisy, is so much more than family.
