From the Heart
Some love stories start in unexpected places, and some start right where your heart has always been — home. For Carissa and Quinten, their story began back in high school, in the very town where they’d one day say “I do.” After years of growing together, supporting one another, and building a life side by side, their wedding day in Hartington, Nebraska, felt like the perfect full-circle moment.
They were surrounded by family, lifelong friends, and the same community that watched their story unfold from the beginning. Every detail — from the church to the reception space to the short drive for portraits — was soaked in nostalgia and hometown pride.
Getting Ready at the Hartington Hotel
There’s something special about getting ready in your hometown. The familiar streets, the friendly faces, and the calm that comes with knowing you’re exactly where you belong. Carissa spent the morning surrounded by her closest friends and family, laughter spilling out of the room as they shared memories and helped her into her dress.
Her look was timeless — the perfect blend of classic and modern — and when she turned around, you could see that unmistakable “this is it” moment in her eyes.
Meanwhile, Quinten and his guys were just a few doors away, joking around and shaking off those wedding-day nerves. The excitement in the air was contagious.
A Meaningful Ceremony at Holy Trinity Catholic Church
Carissa and Quinten’s ceremony took place at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, one of Hartington’s most beautiful and historic spots. The stained-glass windows, the quiet hum of anticipation, and the soft music playing as guests filled the pews all added to the sacred feeling of the day.
As the doors opened and Carissa began her walk down the aisle, Quinten’s face said everything. You could feel the weight of all those years leading up to this moment — the high school hallway glances, the college years apart and back together, the little milestones that built into something extraordinary.
Their ceremony was heartfelt and faith-filled, a reflection of both their love and their shared values. When they exchanged vows and sealed it with a kiss, the room erupted into joyful applause — and it truly felt like the whole town was cheering them on.
Portraits at the Hartington Golf Course
After the ceremony, we made our way just a few blocks away to the local Hartington golf course for portraits. The soft evening light was perfect — warm, golden, and full of that fall glow that makes everything feel a little more magical.
The course offered open fields, tall trees, and sweeping views that framed the newlyweds beautifully. Carissa’s veil caught the breeze just right, and the two of them couldn’t stop smiling — the kind of genuine, can’t-help-it smiles that come after years of knowing you’ve found your person.
It’s always one of my favorite parts of the day, when the couple finally gets a moment alone (well, almost alone — just me behind the lens!) to soak in what just happened. They laughed, danced, and took it all in before heading back to the celebration waiting for them at the hotel.
A Celebration at the Hartington Hotel
Their reception at the Hartington Hotel felt like a warm hometown hug. The space was full of character, with twinkle lights strung up and tables lined with personal touches that reflected their story together.
Guests gathered for heartfelt speeches, amazing food, and — of course — plenty of laughter. There’s something about small-town weddings where everyone seems to know everyone, and that familiarity creates a sense of comfort and joy that’s hard to describe.
The dance floor was packed from the moment the music started. Friends from high school, family from all over — everyone came together to celebrate Carissa and Quinten finally tying the knot. And when they shared their first dance as husband and wife, you could tell it wasn’t just a dance — it was the culmination of a love that had been years in the making.
A Perfect Hometown Ending
As the night went on, guests filled the dance floor, the air buzzing with excitement and joy. From little cousins running around to parents and siblings swaying to the music, every corner of the room was filled with love.
Carissa and Quinten slipped outside later that evening for a few last photos under the golden light, and those images perfectly captured the essence of their day — quiet, romantic, and deeply connected to their roots.
Their wedding wasn’t just about celebrating a new beginning — it was about honoring where it all started. The same town where they fell in love, surrounded by the same people who’d supported them every step of the way.
Congratulations, Carissa & Quinten
Carissa and Quinten, your wedding day was everything a hometown love story should be — joyful, sentimental, and full of heart. From the sweet ceremony at Holy Trinity to the celebration at the Hartington Hotel, it was a day filled with the kind of love that only grows stronger with time.
Thank you for letting me capture every moment of it — from the little details to the big emotions and everything in between. Here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter, and continuing your story right where it all began.
