In case you missed it, we spent two weeks out of our summer in Colorado, and well we're thinking this might be annual thing to stay in Colorado for awhile over the summer (schedule permitting obvy). Luckily, both our girls summer breaks happened to align with my husband's summer break, and well there's a perk of setting your schedule as full time wedding photographer.

We spent most of our time in Breckenridge during our stay, so I could adjust to the altitude, and have a bit of RNR before busy season ramped back up when we returned. We've really learned to love Breck like it's our second home away from home. During that time, I learned all the scenic spots for a photographer in Breckenridge, and learned about the unexpected weather that goes along with a summer wedding in Colorado.

On Chad and Kelly's wedding day, we had unexpected showers. We had checked the forecast several times leading up to their wedding, and showers were not in the forecast! Needless to say the bright sunny skies turned into overcast pretty quickly, the wind picked up, and many of their family members were quickly disassembling the outdoor reception area. As you can imagine, our timeline was shortly diverted and the ceremony was pushed back, but we were quickly able to get back to our original plan without too much re-arranging. This is why it is so imperative to be flexible on your wedding day. Your wedding day timeline is really just a guideline not the rule book, so as you envision yourself getting married, practice taking everything as it comes.

Chad and Kelly's wedding day was nothing short of magical. Both families brought an exceptional love for the two of them, uniting them as one.
