Whether you're planning a bridal shower, baby shower, gender reveal party, anniversary party, quinceanera, micro-wedding, or anything else in-between, I am going to share with you Lincoln's prime spots for hosting your intimate party!
The first thing you'll want to consider are how many guests will you be hosting, and what is your budget. Some other things to also keep in mind when party planning are that each venue has different amenities, like table, chairs and linen rentals, a fully stocked bar with bartenders, parking and backdrops on site. Lastly, do some mood board planning to determine what your vibe will be like? Are you going modern, classic, boho, rustic, elective? Let's just say that the venue you chose will really play a vital role as to the style of party and the atmosphere of your party. So are you ready to ditch the apartment club house, church's gathering room or your mother-in-law's living room? Let's get to exploring!
The Urban Farmhouse
Amenities: Fully Furnished with tables, chairs and tablecloths, seating up to 48 people, onsite and offsite beverage catering service available, and parking.
This is one of Lincoln's newest event space (opened in 2020) located in SW Lincoln by Super Target. The venue has a very modern feel with rustic charm, with tons of natural light! The wooden head table & large modern chandelier is bound to make a statement and really elevate your guest(s) of honor.
Delray 817
Amenities: Table/Chair rentals, bartending services, set-up and clean-up services, and can accommodate 325 seated guests or 695 cocktail guests.
You might have known the Delray as a ballroom dancing venue, but with new ownership, Alicia and her team at the Delray 817 have rebranded as a modern space to host intimate weddings, events, parties and Husker tailgates. The red drapery is gone! Delray 817 really highlights its floor to ceiling brick with all new modern finishes. This space is one of the larger small event spaces in Lincoln so if you're planning a larger party, this is the perfect meeting space. The Delray 817 is located in the heart of the Haymarket, right next to several hotels, so your guests can make a weekend getaway all while celebrating with you!
Common Space
Amenities: Hourly Rental Space, Backdrop included, parking and can accommodate 45 people in the larger room; up to 60 if you include both spaces.
Common Space is known as a photography studio that you can rent by the hour, but did you know that you can host an intimate event there too? From baby showers, gender reveal, bridal showers, and so much more. A few things that you'll need to consider are that you need to hire an external rental company to deliver tables, chairs, linens and anything else you may need to host your event. Typically set up and tear down will need to be done within the allotted time frame of the studio rental. Common Space provides a clean, minimalist look with live plants, backdrops and other seating options perfect for a little photo booth for your party. You can bring in your own catering and beverages, but if you plan to selll alcohol to your guests, you must have a server with a liquor license. Also, Common Space does not have a full-size refrigerator onsite, so something else to keep in mind when planning your event.
Cedar and Sage
Amenities: Hourly Rental Space, Backdrop included, parking, can accommodate 60 guests, and Bar Service available through Bailey's Local in Eagle.
Welcome to Cedar and Sage, where NYC meets Paris located in Eagle, Nebraska just 20 minutes East of Lincoln. Cedar and Sage is also known for being a photography studio, with a moodier boho vibe, but changes with the season. The owner, Alyssa Herold, often hosts many community events to bring more small businesses exposure, such as Makers Market, Sip and Sage, as well as, Bouquet Making with Tea, and so much more! So be on the look out for those fun events, so you can get a taste of what Cedar and Sage is all about!
Kinflower studio
Amenities: Hourly Rental Space, Backdrop included, and street/neighborhood parking, can accommodate around 40 guests.
Kinflower Studio is a boutique floral studio and photography rental studio, but with the right setup, this space can be rented for small events. The studio is located at 33rd and A street, and is literally a diamond in the rough. From the outside, you would not expect such a beauty, but a lot of love was poured into making this space inviting. With tons of natural light & house plants galore, Kin brings the boho/plant lovers dreams to life! In order to transform this into an event space, you'll need to consider renting tables/chairs from an outside rental company to have them delivered to the studio. Otherwise, tables, chairs and linens are not included.
